An impressive futuristic villa, found in an exclusive prominent location on the shore of Lake Zurich, is a masterpiece of architect Stefan Camenzind. At first an investment project, which was designed accordingly to Feng Shui principles, which he later decided to turn into his family home. 

 

“Straight out of a James Bond movie” - that’s how The Daily Magazine described this unique villa and we have no choice but to agree. Flexhouse has received many prestigious architectural awards and among other things, the villa was selected as one of the houses for Netflix’s Extraordinary Homes series. 

 

The unique architectural solution is also reflected in the hardwood floors. Two shades of wood were used to differentiate the atmosphere of daytime and evening living space. The sleek clean choice of wood grading in custom design was also used for the most prominent detail of the house - the curved walls. Each parquet was bent using a special technology to make it copy the exact radius of the wall. This and a lot more underlines the airy dynamic of the interior which in combination with not only Czech product, but also the execution of an experienced Czech technician, left an imprint of Czech artisanal tradition on the villa.
